In Serpukhov, a rare species of bats was found - Kulya's netopyr. It is also called Mediterranean. For the Moscow region, such animals are a real rarity, since they usually live much further south. Experts call them "tourists" because of the rare appearances in the region.

Exactly how the mouse ended up in Serpukhov is unknown. It is assumed that she could accidentally come with cargo from the southern regions. The found animal weighs only 4.1 grams and is very exhausted.

Now the bat is waiting for increased nutrition and safe wintering. In the spring it is planned to return to warm lands. Experts continue to monitor the condition of the animal.
