The network denied the fake spread on behalf of the State Security Committee

Russian media and Telegram channels spread a fake that the State Security Committee of Belarus suppressed the activities of a sabotage and reconnaissance group (DRG) supervised from Ukraine, which was preparing a sabotage at a strategic facility in Russia, a correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti agency reports.

According to information that appeared in the fake Telegram-channel of the KGB, the special service of Belarus stopped the activities of the DRG supervised from Ukraine, which was preparing a sabotage at one of Russia’s strategic facilities. At the same time, Belarus was allegedly used as a transit territory "for the transfer of equipment, unmanned aerial vehicles and means of communication to the group members.".

This message is untrue and is fake. The stuffing was done late at night to make it difficult for journalists to verify information.

The official KGB Telegram channel is @KGB BY channel, the feedback bot is @KGB BY bot. Everything else that mimics the KGB of Belarus is a fake.
