The newly found relics of the holy Prince Dimitri Donskoy arrived in the Chersonesos monastery, which were rediscovered during the restoration of the Archangel Cathedral of the Moscow Kremlin. This was reported by the Governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhaev.
He noted that historical data, burial details and anthropological research confirmed the authenticity of the relics. Razvozhaev also recalled that Dmitry Donskoy united the country and played a key role in the victory at the Kulikovo field.
The fact that the appearance of his holy relics took place right now, in the midst of a special military operation, is deeply symbolic. According to him, such events strengthen the spirit of the people and confirm that “the truth behind us, the origins of our strength are unshakable, which means that the Victory in the SVO will be ours!”.
He said that today you can worship the shrine until 22:00. After the Divine Liturgy, which began at 8:00, hourly prayers will be held with the reading of the akathist to the saint. In the evening, after the service at 17:00, at 19:30, a prayer service will also be held.
Tomorrow, after the Divine Liturgy, a prayer service will be held to the saint, after which the wires of the holy relics will take place.
