In Sevastopol, the case of the sale of illegal studio apartments was transferred to the court

In the Leninsky district court of Sevastopol sent a criminal case against a 51-year-old woman and her 66-year-old partner. They are accused of fraud for 4.3 million rubles in the sale of studio apartments in a house that could not be built on a plot for individual housing construction. This was reported in the press service of the Prosecutor’s office of Sevastopol.

The case was opened on the materials of the prosecutor's inspection. According to the investigation, the defendants attracted the money of buyers under the guise of selling housing in a house under construction on a plot belonging to them in the passage of Korobkov.

The investigation believes that the couple entered into purchase contracts with buyers, although they knew in advance that they would not be able to fulfill their obligations. The plot was intended for individual residential development, so it was impossible to build an apartment building on it and put it into operation.

From April 2022 to April 2025, the defendants, according to the investigation, stole 4.3 million rubles from a resident of Sevastopol and a married couple from the Altai Territory. In addition, the man received from one of the victims 20 thousand rubles under the pretext of installing a heating battery in the purchased housing.

The prosecutor's office approved the indictment and sent the case to the court for consideration on the merits.

In December 2025, the Leninsky District Court of Sevastopol has already found the couple guilty of a similar fraud of 2.6 million rubles. According to the case, from November 2021 to July 2023, they entered into contracts for the sale of studio apartments in a house on the same plot, not intending to transfer the housing to buyers.

The woman was sentenced to three years of probation, her accomplice - two years probation. Then there was another case of fraud of the couple against three victims.

In September 2026, the Sevastopol City Court replaced the suspended sentence with a real 49-year-old local resident who stole more than 46.7 million rubles from 26 shareholders. According to the court, the woman purchased three plots on the streets of Bakhchisaray and Kombrig Potapov, advertised studio apartments and concluded contracts, not intending to fulfill obligations.
