More than 52 thousand people work in the sphere of culture of Belarus, of which almost 80% are women

More than 52,000 people are involved in culture. This was told by the head of the department of state special cultural events of the Ministry of culture Inna Adamovich at a press conference on the Day of workers of culture, reports sb.by.

The head of the department of state special cultural events of the Ministry of Culture cited statistics of art workers:

- More than 52 thousand people are involved in the field of culture, the majority are women (76%). These are people of different professions: writers, musicians, vocalists, artists, librarians, teachers. Every year the ranks of our employees are replenished. Every year, organizations welcome about 1,500 young professionals who create favorable conditions for creative development. Gifted young people are supported during their studies. In Belarus, there is a special fund of the President of the Republic of Belarus to support talented youth, which gives the winners of international and republican competitions privileges: admission to universities without entrance exams, transfer from a paid form of education to the budget, discounts for training, scholarships.

She also noted that the country has 28 state theaters, 22 concert organizations and two circuses. Each institution has a pool of spectators, Inna Adamovich noted:

Belarusians are happy to visit large-scale republican cultural events: the international art festival “Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk”, which gathered 52 participating countries this year, the republican holiday “Kupala”, the international theater festival “Belaya Vezha” in Brest, the youth theater forum “M.@rt.contact” in Mogilev, the national festival of Belarusian song and poetry in Molodechno.
