In Smolensk, a young man stole from a friend of a pensioner more than 1.2 million rubles through his phone

The police of Smolensk was contacted by a 74-year-old local resident, who lost his savings in the amount of over 1.2 million rubles. The victim did not lose the card and did not make transactions.

After studying the movement of funds, the operatives came to the suspect - a 25-year-old friend of a pensioner. It turned out that he regularly asked the victim for money in debt, and having received his phone for transfer, transferred to his accounts amounts significantly exceeding the allowed. All the stolen money was spent by the attacker.

The Investigative Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs initiated a criminal case under Part 4 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Theft on an especially large scale”). The suspect faces up to 10 years in prison.
