In Sobinka, the official was punished for ignoring complaints about bad roads

The Sobinsk prosecutor's office punished the municipal employee for bureaucratic red tape. An inspection of the department showed that local residents did not receive answers to their complaints about the state of the urban economy in time.

In March 2026, people appealed to the Department of Housing and Construction with a request to repair roads and deal with disruptions in utilities. By law, officials must respond within 30 days. But in this case, the deadlines were exceeded by two and three weeks.

The prosecutor’s office initiated administrative proceedings. As a result, the staff member who caused the delay was brought to justice. The supervisory authority recalls that violation of the procedure for considering citizens' appeals is the basis for imposing an administrative fine.
