In Sochi, on the Day of Remembrance of Internal Affairs Officers, a mourning ceremony was held at the monument to the dead policemen.

The memory of the fallen was honored by their relatives and friends, the leadership of the Internal Affairs Department in Sochi, personnel, representatives of the Public Council and the Veterans Council. After the memorial service, the participants laid flowers at the memorial.

Earlier, employees of the personnel unit put in order the burial places of their colleagues and laid flowers to the tombstones.

The head of the Internal Affairs Department for Sochi, police major-general Sergei Ogurtsov stressed that the department will continue to support the families of the victims. “Your loved ones remained faithful to their oath and duty to the end. We will always remember their courage.”.
