In social networks discuss a new date of the apocalypse from the pastor
Pastor Joshua Mlakela from South Africa announced that the world will end on October 12-13, 2026

Pastor Joshua Mlakela from South Africa announced that the world will end on October 12-13, 2026. The New York Post wrote about it. According to Mlakela, these dates he received from God and Jesus Christ. He argues that this is not about the destruction of the Earth, but about the “ascension” – the moment when believers will ascend to heaven before the Great Tribulation. However, in social networks, the prophecy quickly turned into an apocalypse, where all living things will die.
Mlakela has previously predicted ascension on September 23, 2025. Some of his followers sold their property and were fired. When the prophecy did not come true, the pastor said that God postponed the day of judgment to give people time to repent. Now he explains the error by a calendar shift. Mlakela associates the new date with the Jewish holiday of Rosh Hashanah and says the actual date is October, not September.
According to NASA, there are no threats from space. The Center for Near-Earth Object Studies tracks all known asteroids and comets. There are no objects that threaten the planet. The probability of fulfilling the prophecy is estimated at less than 0.1%. Mlakela himself insists that there is no other ascension date and for him it is final.
Earlier, the MK wrote that the priest of the Russian Orthodox Church listed three signs that, in his opinion, may indicate the approach of the end times. Among them are frequent cataclysms and the fall of morals. He urged believers not to panic.
