In social networks spread deepfake with the “statement” of Gadzhi Sultanov about ports

In social networks distributed a video with the alleged speech of the acting Minister of economy and territorial development of Dagestan Haji Sultanov. On the tape, he is credited with stating that the authorities do not intend to stop the work of ports due to the threat of attacks, since export revenues are supposedly more important than security.

Haji Sultanov did not make such statements. The video was generated using neural networks.

The deepfake was based on Sultanov’s real speech at the Caucasian Investment Forum in Mineralnye Vody. In the original, he spoke about agreements on the development of single-industry towns in Dagestan and cooperation with the SME Bank.
