The Federation Council warned Volgograd residents about a new scheme of deception of teenagers
Fraudsters make acquaintances with minors on the Internet, and then send a link to a page with a false notification of hacking an account on Public Services.

Threats force young users to follow their instructions. About it RIA “Novosti” said Senator Artem Sheikin.
“Dating on the Internet can be the beginning of a scheme in which a teenager is gradually persuaded to follow the instructions of criminals,” said Senator Artem Shaykin.
First, the interlocutor appears as a peer, shows interest in communication, learns about the family and offers to meet. Then under the usual household pretext sends a link. Often this does not cause suspicion: the message comes not from a random stranger, but from a person with whom they managed to establish contact.
According to the senator, the nature of communication changes dramatically. After clicking on the link, a message appears about an allegedly hacked account on "State Services", and then a call is received from an "employee" of the service or department.
Artem Shaykin explained that the teenager is accused of illegal actions on his behalf, threatened with a criminal case and sent fake documents. The notification itself on an unfamiliar page does not prove hacking, but it is important for scammers to get scared and believe the next caller.
Particularly dangerous is the requirement not to tell anyone about what is happening. A boy or a girl is convinced that a conversation with his parents will worsen the situation, and you can avoid punishment only if you follow the instructions. Then, under the guise of a video search, they demand to show the apartment, find money and jewelry, transfer them to the courier.
The senator noted that the ability to use modern applications in itself does not protect against such pressure. A teenager can confidently navigate digital services, but do not understand the order of actions of law enforcement agencies and be confused by threats. The lack of their own savings is also not an argument for criminals: through a child, they will try to access the property of their parents.
“Prevention in information security issues should be formed through regular and trustful dialogue between adults and children, and not only through warnings about the same dangerous links,” concluded Artem Shaykin. Requirements to hide communication from loved ones, show an apartment or collect valuables are an excuse to immediately stop contact and contact your parents.
