International festival of RGS was held in Stavropol

The Stavropol Victory Park hosted the International Festival of the Russian Geographical Society. The event was held with the support of the North Caucasus Federal University and the administration of the regional center.

National farmsteads of the peoples of Russia and the world worked on the site of the festival, where guests could get acquainted with traditions, crafts and cuisine of different cultures. The program also included concerts, master classes on national crafts, quizzes, competitions and screenings of documentaries, including in VR format. The musical headliner of the holiday was the group “Propaganda”.

North Caucasus Federal University sees its mission in forming a space of open intercultural dialogue. We have shown that geography is not only the science of space, but also the science of mutual understanding between people and peoples, said Professor Tatiana Shebzukhova, Rector of NCFU.
