In Surgut on the embankment in the area of Surgut State University will appear stele “Memory of the victims who died in peacetime”. The city is currently looking for a contractor to build the memorial.
The composition will include seven vertical pylons of different heights - from 1.4 to 4.6 meters - on the granite podium. Four columns are made of stainless steel, three of natural light gray granite. The stele is designed to perpetuate the memory of people who died in terrorist attacks, man-made disasters, emergencies and other tragedies.
By the end of the year, the contractor must not only manufacture and install the composition, but also improve the surrounding area: lay new pedestrian paths, mount lighting and install a granite bench.
