In Suzdal, the Prosecutor’s office monitors the repair of the roof of the historic house

The Suzdal Interdistrict Prosecutor’s Office monitors the completion of the overhaul of the roof of an apartment building, which is recognized as an object of cultural heritage. The building was built in the XIX century in accordance with the regular urban development plan developed at the end of the XVIII century.

The inspection showed that the Fund for the overhaul of apartment buildings of the Vladimir region concluded an agreement to update the common property of the building with a contractor. To repair the roof, the main contractor involved a subcontractor who did not have a license to work with cultural heritage objects. This is a violation of the law.

By the deadline, the work was not completed, and during the execution of the contract, comments were revealed. The prosecutor's office made a submission to the head of the main contractor, demanding to eliminate violations and ensure the proper completion of repairs.

In addition, officials of the subcontracting organization were brought to administrative responsibility under part 1 of article 7.13 of the administrative code of the Russian Federation for violation of the requirements of the legislation on the protection of cultural heritage. They were fined. The supervisory authority continues to monitor the situation.
