In Tambov, the readiness of improvement of the embankment of the Studenets river is 80%

The head of the Tambov city administration Maxim Kosenkov held a visiting meeting on the embankment of the Studenets River, where the creation of a new recreation area continues. Deputies of the regional and city Duma, as well as representatives of the public took part in the discussion of the progress of the work.

According to Maxim Kosenkov, at the moment the construction readiness of the facility is estimated at 80%. The contractor continues the arrangement of pedestrian paths, laying of pavement tiles and decking, the construction of an art cluster with a viewing platform and ecotropes is underway. In addition, plots for asphalt are being prepared.

Improvement is carried out within the framework of the national project “Infrastructure for Life”. In 2025, the territory won the All-Russian competition of the best projects to create a comfortable urban environment in the category “Small cities” thanks to the support of the head of the region Evgeny Pervyshov.

In order to comprehensively change the view of the territory at the entrance to the city, the site on the other side of the Rasskazovsky highway is additionally landscaped. There have already appeared footpaths and lighting supports, the plans are the installation of benches and landscaping.

During the meeting, special attention was paid to the organization of parking spaces inside the courtyards of apartment buildings located near the embankment. One of the main topics was the accessibility of the territory for low-mobility groups of the population - SVO veterans with serious injuries and young mothers with wheelchairs.

Maxim Kosenkov supported all the proposals and instructed to take them into work. Some of the elements will be adjusted already during the improvement, access to the ecotrope for all categories of disabled citizens will be further worked out.

“We will complete the improvement in the middle of next month,” the head of the city administration said.

Embankment is the place where Tambov was born at the confluence of the rivers Studenets and Tsna. The works are timed to the 390th anniversary of the city, about 200 million rubles were allocated for their implementation.
