In Tambov, the youth restored order at the monuments of poets

In Tambov continues the autumn month of improvement. Today, Saturdays were held at once in several iconic areas of the city: in Baratynsky Square, on the embankment near the monument to S. Sergeev-Tsensky and in Lermontovsky Square.

The cleaning was attended by schoolchildren, students, representatives of youth organizations, cultural workers and local residents. Before the start of the work, the participants listened to small historical references: the staff of museums and libraries reminded who these places are named after, what these people are known for and why it is so important to preserve their memory.

After an excursion into the history of Tambov residents together brought the territories in order: removed foliage and garbage, washed monuments.

Autumn month for improvement and preparation of territories for the winter period is held in Tambov from October 5 to November 6. During this time, Days of Strike Labor will be held with the participation of social workers, labor collectives and employees. More than 400 Saturdays are planned in the courtyards of apartment buildings and on the streets of the private sector. As part of the traditional action “Green Tambov”, young people and social activists will plant trees in squares, parks, courtyards and on the streets of the city.
