In Tambov said goodbye to the rector of Derzhavin University

On November 7, a farewell ceremony was held with the rector of Derzhavin University Pavel Moiseyev. A civil memorial service was held in the Tambov Drama Theater, after which a funeral was performed in the Transfiguration Cathedral. The rector is buried in the Vozdvizhensky cemetery of Tambov.

The official part of the memorial service was attended by the head of the Tambov region Evgeny Pervyshov. He expressed condolences to students, colleagues, relatives and friends of Pavel Moiseyev.

The farewell ceremony was also attended by Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Tamara Frolova, Chairman of the Tambov Regional Duma Alexei Pozdnyakov, head of the Tambov administration Maxim Kosenkov, Professor of Derzhavin University Dmitry Selzer and adviser to the head of the region Sergey Chebotarev.

Pavel Moiseev was born on April 17, 1987 in Tambov. He received higher education at the Moscow State Technological University "STANKIN" and at the Tambov State University named after G.R. Derzhavin, graduated from MSTU "STANKIN" with honors. He was a candidate of economic sciences, assistant professor.

Work path at Derzhavin University began in 2011. He oversaw corporate policy, informatization and infrastructure development. He held positions of Vice-Rector for Informatization and Innovative Development, for Property Management, for Digital Transformation.

on july 1, 2022, he headed the university as acting rector, in january 2023 he was elected rector of the university.

Under the leadership of Pavel Moiseev, the university actively developed and strengthened international relations. A great place in his life was occupied by public work: he was a deputy of the Tambov Regional Duma of the eighth convocation, headed the health protection committee.

Pavel Moses was married and raised a daughter.
