In Tambov sentenced the driver who killed a pedestrian

October district court of Tambov considered the case of a fatal accident. The defendant was a local resident who was driving a car violated the rules of the road.

As the investigation established, the young man, who reached the age of majority, was driving along Ryleev Street. Repairs were under way at the site, and there were signs warning of roadworks and a speed limit of 40 km/h. However, the driver was driving much faster, did not take into account the traffic situation and did not slow down when a pedestrian appeared on the road crossing the carriageway in the wrong place. As a result of the collision, the person received serious injuries and died on the spot from blood loss.

During the trial, the defendant fully compensated the injured party damage and moral damage - the total amount of payments exceeded 750 thousand rubles.

The court found the Tambov citizen guilty. He was sentenced to two years of forced labor withholding 10% of earnings in the state income. In addition, he is prohibited from carrying out activities related to transport management for two years.

The sentence has not yet entered into force.
