In Tomsk competitions for road repair will be held in advance

Tomsk Mayor Dmitry Makhinya instructed the relevant department to conduct competitive procedures for the repair of main roads this year. On secondary streets, contests will be announced at the beginning of the next. This will allow contractors to reach the facilities as soon as warm weather sets in.

An agreement was also reached with asphalt plants: if there are contracts concluded, they will start working earlier. The reason for such measures was the experience of this year, when the heat came early, and road workers started repairing only after the completion of competitive procedures, losing time.

Plans for next year have already included a comprehensive reconstruction of the Moscow highway — the expansion of sidewalks, additional pedestrian crossings and repair of the roadway. The streets of Shishkova, Suvorov and the final section of Rosa Luxemburg will also be put in order. A complete list of roads is still being developed by specialists.
