In Ulyanovsk at the Mikhail-Arkhangelsk temple was a family holiday

In Ulyanovsk, on September 19, the holiday “Family values and traditions” was held on the territory of the Mikhail-Arkhangelsk Church in Alexander Park. It was timed to the day of remembrance of the miracle of Archistratig Michael in Honech.

The organizers were the parish of the Mikhail-Arkhangelsk Church, the youth department of the Simbirsk diocese, the diocesan sports club Muromets and the school of ringing art.

The program was opened with a master class on bell ringing. It was conducted by graduates of the diocesan school of ringing art Vladimir and Mikhail. Then the clergyman of the temple hegumen Pafnutiy (Pichugin) made a prayer for the welfare of the family, after which a procession around the temple and on the territory of the Alexander Park took place.

For children organized outdoor games and tea with sweet treats. Also, guests could get acquainted with the exhibition of patriotic orientation, which was presented by the diocesan sports club Muromets. Parents were given a talk about family issues in the modern world.

The literary part of the holiday included reading poems. Participants of the youth club “Logos” Alexey Ageev and Regina Khairullova presented author’s works, and Sunday school students prepared poems about the family.

In conclusion, hegumen Pafnutiy thanked the organizers and participants. Each participant received the Holy Gospel from the Department of Religious Education and Catechization of the Simbirsk Diocese.
