In Ulyanovsk on the 90th year of life died Vladimir Nosov - Honored Worker of Physical Culture of the RSFSR, whose name is associated with the development of sports in the Ulyanovsk Polytechnic Institute. The date and place of farewell was announced by representatives of the sports community of the region.
The farewell ceremony will take place on October 12. From 10:00 to 12:00 it will pass at the address: Portovaya Street, 25a. At 12:30 farewell events will continue on Lyubov Shevtsova street, 54, building 5.
Vladimir Nosov came to Ulyanovsk from Tambov, where he received physical education. After two years of service in the tank school in 1963, he began teaching at the Polytechnic University at the invitation of the head of the regional sports Committee Felix Kozlovsky.
At that time, the Institute did not have its own sports base. Over the years, Nosov has built halls, a stadium and a health camp in the Old Maine district. He became the first head of the Department of Physical Education.
Vladimir Valentinovich devoted half a century to the university. Under him, student teams successfully performed at regional and all-Russian competitions, basketball players achieved especially noticeable results.
In the regional basketball federation, Nosov is remembered as a person who brought up discipline, resilience and the ability to work in a team in students.
