Medical workers from the region will be able to join the training remotely.
Increased attention to breast cancer prevention is associated with the prevalence of the disease. According to the regional Ministry of Health, in 2025, 688 residents of the Ulyanovsk region received such a diagnosis.
At the same time, experts note that in about 80% of cases, the disease occurs without obvious risk factors. This means that the absence of complaints or known predisposing circumstances does not exclude the need for regular preventive examinations.
Timely detection of the tumor allows you to start treatment at an earlier stage and increases the likelihood of a favorable result. That is why the organizers strive to make the diagnosis more accessible, and information about the disease more understandable for the residents of the region.
The thematic week will last from 12 to 18 October 2026. It is conducted by the Ministry of Health of the Ulyanovsk region, the regional Center for Public Health, the regional cancer clinic and other medical organizations within the framework of the national project “Long and active life”.
