In the Ulyanovsk region, two men were convicted for extortion of 30 thousand rubles

In the Ulyanovsk region, two men received real sentences for threats and beating a friend, who demanded 30 thousand rubles. The Melekessky District Court sentenced both to imprisonment. The decision has already entered into legal force.

As the court established, in April and May 2026, 47-year-old unemployed Ulyanovsk resident Alexander Zavarikhin and 23-year-old resident of the working village of Mullovka Ilnar Khayretdinov repeatedly demanded money from his friend.

The men struck the victim with hands and feet on various parts of the body, trying to force him to transfer the required amount.

Illegal actions were stopped during special events. Both were arrested and then prosecuted.

The court found Alexander Zavarikhin and Ilnar Hayretdinov guilty on points "a", "c" of part 2 of article 163 of the criminal code.

Zavarikhin was appointed two years and six months in prison, Khairetdinov three years. Both will serve their sentences in a general regime correctional colony.
