The Military Academy of Belarus told how AI is used in the Armed Forces

Artificial intelligence in the Armed Forces of Belarus helps to solve some problems, but the use of weapons is not going to be trusted. This was stated by the head of the Department of tactics and weapons of radio-technical troops of the air defense faculty of the Military Academy of Belarus Pavel Boykachev, the correspondent of the agency “Minsk-Novosti”.

- The use of weapons and decision-making in their use using artificial intelligence is unacceptable. It should remain at the mercy of natural intelligence, said P. Boykachev in the program “Essentially” TV channel STV.

According to the expert, AI is still used in the activities of the Armed Forces. In particular, neural networks can help the commander make decisions, and are also used in training cadets of the Military Academy.

- For the development and trust in these systems are responsible in the Military Academy and the Research Institute of the Armed Forces. And the results are already there: individual systems brought to the supply stage and introduced into the troops, the speaker added.
