In Volgograd arrived the first cabs for the Ferris wheel “Star of Stalingrad”
The construction of the 120-meter-high cable-stayed Ferris wheel “Star of Stalingrad” in Volgograd has reached a new stage. The first 18 passenger modules were delivered to the facility

In Volgograd TsPKiO, the construction of a large-scale tourist object - the Ferris wheel "Star of Stalingrad" continues.
The first batch of 18 spherical passenger modules has already arrived at the site. In total, 68 cabins will be installed on the 120-meter cable-stayed structure, the next batch of which is already on the way.
According to the director of the park Andrey Yerkin, the installation of the modules will begin after the delivery of all elements. Each module will be mounted on the rim using two pre-mounted special frames. The design takes into account all significant loads, including passenger weight, wind and dynamic effects during rotation.
The cabins have seats and an air conditioning system. Panoramic glazing will provide a view of up to 100 km, including views of the Mamaev Kurgan, the Volga and the Volga-Akhtuba floodplain.
In parallel, work is underway at the facility to install drive frames for 20 hydraulic mechanisms that ensure the rotation of the wheel. In addition, an independent Volgograd licensed organization conducts ultrasonic inspection and color flaw detection of welds on four support columns to confirm their compliance with safety standards, following which an official opinion will be issued.
The project is being implemented with the support of the Government of the Russian Federation within the framework of Resolution No. 141, aimed at the development of domestic tourism.
