In the Volgograd region about 300 social workers were trained
In the first half of 2026, about 300 specialists of the social services of the Volgograd region and the Volga region were trained in the Complex Center for Social Services of Volgograd.
According to the administration of the region, they mastered training and retraining programs in the professions of “care assistant” and “Social worker”, as well as a refresher course on positioning and assisting in the movement of those in need of care using the principles of kinesthetics. An important component of training is practice: in the classroom, students practice the skills of positioning and ergonomic movement of wards, additionally undergo practice in social service organizations.
Training is conducted in a full-time format using distance technologies. Programs are regularly updated so that specialists receive not only theory, but also demanded practical skills. The activity of the center is part of the national project “Family”: it is designed to improve the system of long-term care for the elderly and disabled.
In the Volgograd region, the modernization of the social sphere continues in accordance with the tasks set by Governor Andrei Bocharov: the material and technical base of social protection institutions is being updated, modern social technologies are being introduced. In the region there is a program "Personal assistant", "Schools of family care", day care units with rehabilitation and creative classes; social workers provide assistance at home.
