In the Volgograd region, the court returned to state ownership more than 28 hectares of forest land

During the inspection, the Frolovsk Interdistrict Prosecutor’s Office revealed a violation of land legislation: in May 2025, the administration of the Frolovsk district concluded a lease agreement with a local resident for a plot of more than 28 hectares, which belongs to the forest fund and is in federal ownership. The municipality is not authorized to administer such lands.

The prosecutor’s office appealed to the court with the requirement to recognize the transaction as void and apply the relevant legal consequences. The Frolovsk City Court satisfied the claim of the department.
