Specialists of the department summed up the results of the past season and discussed preventive measures for the upcoming heating season.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Volgograd region, since the beginning of this year, 2,263 cases of fires in the natural environment have been recorded in the region, which is 5% less compared to the previous year. For the first time in a long period of time, there was no need to introduce a special fire regime, and large-scale and loud forest fires were avoided.
Considerable attention was paid to security in residential areas. Despite the overall reduction in the number of fires, threats to life and health remain urgent. The most common causes of fires continue to include improper operation of electrical appliances and carelessness when handling open fire.
Experts also shared recommendations for ensuring fire safety at home and demonstrated modern technical means designed for early detection of fires, organizing safe evacuation and localization of foci of flame spread.
