In Volga began to care for premature babies in a new department

In the perinatal center No. 2 in Volga opened a Department of pathology of newborns and premature babies – this was informed by the health Committee of the Volgograd region.

Now one medical institution can provide a full cycle of care for children born prematurely, including babies with low and critically low body weight.

Equipment of the department meets modern requirements: there are ultrasound diagnostic devices, specialized cuves, systems for continuous monitoring of vital signs and other necessary equipment. The team of the department includes experienced doctors whose specialization is the treatment and care of newborns, including premature ones.

As noted in the health Committee of the Volgograd region, the strengthening of neonatal service is one of the priority areas for the development of maternity care in the region. The work is based on the resources of federal and regional programs, as well as within the framework of the national project “Long and active life”, which allows to improve the availability and quality of medical care for children.
