On the eve of the Day of National Unity and the anniversary of the October Revolution, the traditional cleaning of the monument to Vladimir Lenin took place in the center of Voronezh.
For washing the monument used standard detergents that do not affect the material of the sculpture. The work is carried out by the management of the affairs of the regional government within the framework of the improvement month. Monuments in the city are cleaned regularly, usually several times a year.
In addition to the monument itself, utilities brought order to the surrounding area, including flower gardens near the monument.
The month of improvement began in Voronezh on October 1. On October 10, subbotniks were held in the city and districts of the region, bringing together more than 88 thousand participants. During this time, 138 landfills were eliminated and more than 25 thousand cubic meters of garbage were removed.
Earlier it became known that in Voronezh, a contractor was identified for the restoration of the entrance group of Koltsovsky Square.
