In the Voronezh region signed an agreement to curb fuel prices

In the Voronezh region signed agreements on the stabilization of the cost of fuel. The documents were signed by regional authorities and independent operators of petrol stations. Similar agreements are in effect in 34 regions of Russia, the Federal Antimonopoly Service reported on October 9.

A total of 93 agreements were signed across the country. Twenty of them have signed up with companies that operate more than 20 gas stations within the same region. In addition to the Voronezh region, the list includes neighboring Belgorod and Tambov regions, as well as a number of other subjects of the country.

The mechanism of interaction is provided by the decree of the Russian government No. 662. It is aimed at stabilizing the situation on the fuel market and curbing the growth of prices at gas stations.

The FAS will continue to assist regional authorities and independent operators in organizing this work. The Agency intends to provide the parties to the agreements with consulting and organizational support.
