In the Yaroslavl region there was another eternal flame

In the village of Vakhromeika of the Lyubimsk municipal district of the Yaroslavl region, within the framework of the All-Russian action “Keeping the Fire of Victory”, Gazprom PJSC lit a new Eternal Flame on the “Memorial to Defenders of the Fatherland”.

The memorial was erected in 2026, on its steles will be immortalized the names of local residents who took part in the Great Patriotic War.

To light the eternal flame, a gas pipeline with a length of about 90 m was built, a gas-burning device was installed, commissioning work was carried out.

It should be noted that by the decision of President Vladimir Putin, from 2022, natural gas is supplied to memorial complexes with Eternal Flames free of charge.

In 2026, three memorials were gasified in the Yaroslavl region as part of the campaign “Keeping the Fire of Victory”. In total, 21 Eternal Flames were lit in the region.

More than 8,000 people left the Lyubim district for the front, of which more than 3,000 did not return. And today we, the gas workers, are entrusted with an honorable mission - to preserve the memory of our countrymen. We will continue to work on the gasification of the Eternal Lights, said Oleg Sibiryakov, General Director of Gazprom Gas Distribution Yaroslavl, Gazprom Mezhregiongaz Yaroslavl.
