In the Yaroslavl region, the former head of the district administration confiscated property for 54 million

In the Yaroslavl region, at the request of the Prosecutor’s Office, property worth more than 54.6 million rubles was converted into state income. This is reported by the press service of the supervisory authority.

Valuable assets lost the former head of Gavrilov-Yamsky municipal district Andrei Sergeyichev. The decision to withdraw was taken by Gavrilov-Yamsky district court.

The court was provided with information that in the period from 2017 to 2023, while serving as the head of the representative body and the head of the local government body, Andrei Sergeichev was able to purchase eight commercial real estate objects, including a hotel and four commercial premises with a total area of more than 2.5 thousand square meters, as well as three land plots.

The total value of the acquired assets amounted to 54.6 million rubles. The amount of purchases was much higher than the legal income of the head of the municipal district administration.

In order to slightly avert suspicion, the official made purchases for relatives. Since the expenses clearly exceeded the income, the prosecutor’s office demanded to recover from the former head of Gavrilov-Yamsky municipal district and from his relatives property acquired on income, the legality of which has not been confirmed.

The court, having considered the case materials, accepted the full satisfaction of the claims.
