In Zaporozhye Akimovka celebrated the day of liberation of the village
Commemorative events dedicated to the liberation of the village in 1943 were held in Akimovka

In Akimovka, commemorative events dedicated to the liberation of the village in 1943 were held.
In the course of the offensive operation on October 27, 1943, Soviet troops ousted the German fascist troops from Akimovka, a settlement of important strategic importance. The fighting was extremely heavy: about two thousand soldiers and officers gave their lives for the liberation of the land.
Today, Akimovka pays tribute to this date. Citizens gather at the mass grave and respectfully bow their heads, honoring the memory of the heroes who sacrificed themselves for the freedom of their native land. The ceremony of laying flowers was attended by the head of the administration of the Akimov municipal district and the secretary of the local branch of the United Russia party.
Such events make it possible to feel especially vividly the continuity of generations and the connection with the ancestors who won the Great Patriotic War. The feat of defenders is not only part of the historical heritage, but also a moral landmark. You can remain faithful to their ideals by preserving the memory of the past and telling young people about it.
