In Zubovaya Polyana convicted the driver of “Scania” after a fatal accident

In Zubovaya Polyana sentenced 67-year-old driver of the truck “Scania”. It was his actions on February 26 on the M5 highway that led to the death of his partner. During overtaking, the driver could not hold control of the car, and his truck drove to the oncoming lane, where there was a collision with the “Sitrak”. The driver of the oncoming transport, who was 54 years old, died instantly.
The court found the man guilty under part 3 of article 264 of the criminal code. He was sentenced to two years in the colony-settlement, as well as deprivation of driving license for two and a half years. Full admission of guilt, sincere regret for what happened, good feedback from the workplace and partial compensation for the damage to the relatives of the deceased were taken into account as mitigating factors. No aggravating circumstances were found in the case.
