Vasily Anokhin congratulates Gagarin Multidisciplinary College on its 95th anniversary

The Governor of the Smolensk region Vasily Anokhin congratulated the staff and students of the Gagarin Multidisciplinary College on the landmark date - the 95th anniversary of its foundation. Gagarin has always been famous for the strong professionals and patriots that this educational institution prepares.

History and modernity: The history of the college began in 1931 with the creation of a zooveterinary technical school in Gzhatsk (now Gagarin). Later, a pedagogical school and a vocational school No. 8 were opened here, preparing builders for the restoration of the economy after the war. Today it is a modern organization, where more than 500 students study in a variety of areas: from veterinary medicine and economics to automatic control systems and garment production. The college employs 50 highly qualified teachers and 5 masters of industrial training. Over the past three years, 111 targeted contracts have been concluded.

Support and development: The College actively cooperates with business. With the support of EGGER Drevproduct Gagarin and Gagarin-Ostankino, sports halls were overhauled and a veterinary office was equipped. Modern computers and interactive equipment were purchased for the specialty “Automatic control systems”.

Achievements: Students of the College annually show high results at the championships “Professionals” and “Abilimpix”, as well as participate in the International social and scientific readings “Gagarin Readings”. Congratulating the anniversary, Vasily Anokhin thanked the teachers for their loyalty to the profession and wished the college new achievements and talented students.
