On October 8, the professional holiday was celebrated by employees and veterans of the field of additional education. Governor of the Smolensk region Vasily Anokhin stressed that their work helps children and young people to reveal their talents and confidently move towards their goals.
More than 1.5 thousand specialists of additional education work in the region. Among them are teachers of circles and sections, coaches, as well as mentors of creative, sports and other associations. They help children develop abilities, and for many children, such activities are the first step to choosing a future profession.
Vasily Anokhin thanked employees and veterans of additional education institutions for their contribution to the education of active, creative and purposeful young people who are ready to develop their small homeland.
The head of the region wished teachers and mentors good health, well-being, inspiration, new success and talented students. He expressed hope that the work will continue to bring them joy and pride for every child they have helped take a confident step forward.
