For Nadezhda Shubina, the anniversary is not just a pleasant day filled with smiles and flowers. At such moments, it is especially acutely realized that the peaceful sky overhead today is not crossed by flares of explosions, including thanks to the heroism of a girl who met the beginning of the war at the age of 14. She spent the years of occupation in Gomel, and then voluntarily decided to go as a nurse to the hospital, which followed the front line. Young Nadia cared for wounded soldiers, carried them in her arms and repeatedly donated blood, saving the lives of Soviet soldiers. - The hospital on duty told us the news, but we waited the day before - we didn't even go to sleep. Words cannot tell what started then. We both cried and danced. The duty officer was almost unconsciously kissed. There was joy and pain in my heart because of how many people did not meet this Victory, the veteran wipes away tears.

For some time after the war, Nadezhda Shubina worked in the dining room of the "military trade" at the headquarters of the commander of the front, the famous Marshal of the Soviet Union Konstantin Rokossovsky. - Do not seek happiness in a foreign country, do not forget your roots, your home and your homeland. There is nothing more precious than the Fatherland that raised you, and closer to the windows of your parents’ huts. Appreciate the world, protect our country and remember how we cherished it!
