Decrepit caused 236 damage: 98% of homes in Barnaul connected to heat
The heating season started in Barnaul on September 23. Since then, heating has been provided to almost all facilities. However, the connection to the resource is accompanied by an increase in damage on heat networks. This is due to the dilapidated pipelines.

The administration of Barnaul held a meeting on the heating period. To date, all highways and sources of heat supply of the city work normally. Heat goes to all social institutions - kindergartens, schools and health facilities. Heat also provided 98 percent of the housing stock.
The heating is under special control of the Barnaul authorities. The special headquarters monitors the start of heat, analyzes emergency situations and checks the progress of their elimination. In Barnaul daily work out the appeals of residents on heat supply. Information about them comes from a single duty dispatching service, district dispatching services, media and social networks.
“Each appeal is taken on control and remains there until the issue is resolved, even if we are talking about one idle riser in the apartment,” said Deputy head of the administration for urban economy Sergey Tatyanin.
Alexander Gross, director of the branch of Barnaul Heat Grid Company SGC-Altai, noted that the beginning of the heating season was accompanied by an increase in damage to intra-quarter heating networks during the last five years. This is due to the dilapidated pipelines: 70 percent of them have already reached their regulatory deadline.
And although this year 2.7 billion rubles were allocated for the relaying of networks, which allowed replacing 42 km of pipes, these volumes are unfortunately not enough to ensure trouble-free operation.
So, since the beginning of the heating period, 236 defects have been eliminated in Barnaul: six of them on main heating networks, 50 on hot water supply networks and 180 on intra-quarter networks of small diameter. Experts are now working to repair another 26 injuries.
If a few days ago, more defects were detected than they had time to eliminate, then over the past day the situation has changed - 23 damages were eliminated, and 13 new ones were identified. While maintaining this trend, we set a task next week to enter the regular mode of work, added Alexander Gross.
He also explained that, among other things, the start of the heating season in the residential sector was affected by the start of connecting houses to the resource. This has been actively done since October 5. Massive simultaneous filling and restart of systems led to pressure surges, which provoked additional damage to the heating networks.
