Russian President Vladimir Putin sent congratulations to the staff and veterans of Uralvagonzavod in honor of the 90th anniversary of the enterprise. According to the Department of Information Policy of the Sverdlovsk region, in his address, the head of state emphasized the importance of the plant’s contribution to the history of domestic industry and the defense complex, and also noted the continuity of labor traditions and the importance of the current work of the enterprise.
The head of state noted that the history of the Ural enterprise is inextricably linked with important milestones in the development of domestic industry, the defense complex, with the names of outstanding organizers, talented scientists, designers, engineers, specialists, workers.
During the Great Patriotic War, the production of T-34 tanks, armored hulls for Il-2 attack aircraft, and other types of military equipment was established as soon as possible.
And of course, I would like to highlight the outstanding contribution of your company to the creation of the Ural Volunteer Tank Corps. It is gratifying that the current staff of the corporation continues its strong professional traditions with dignity, Putin said.
The President added that the plant clearly and timely fulfills the state defense order, creates modern samples of military and special equipment that helps the heroes to honorably perform their tasks during a special military operation.
I thank the staff and veterans of Uralvagonzavod for their valiant work in the name of the Fatherland and our people. I wish you success, new achievements and all the best, Putin added.

During the Great Patriotic War, UVZ produced more than 25,000 tanks – more than in all of Nazi Germany. Also, Uralvagonzavod set a world record for the production of cars per year.
