Vladimir fishermen met an exotic flamingo on the lake
October gave residents of the Vladimir region an unusual surprise

October gave residents of the Vladimir region an unusual surprise. Instead of the usual ducks and herons on one of the lakes of the Sugoda district, fishermen noticed a pink flamingo. The exotic bird quietly strolled through the shallow water, brushed its feathers with a massive curved beak and looked for something at the bottom.
The meeting took place last weekend. Fans of fishing came to the pond to relax, but instead of a good catch received footage that is usually seen only in programs about wildlife. Fishermen filmed a bird with black and pink wings soaring into the air.
“Where does it come from in the wild in our Vladimir region? Storks, herons, cranes we saw, but such birds - only in zoos. We were almost not afraid, let 25-30 meters, — share the impressions of eyewitnesses in social networks.
Ornithologists note that the ways of migration of flamingos through the Vladimir region do not pass. Experts suggest that the bird either fought off the flock during a flight in southern latitudes and lost its course, or escaped from a private zoo or utility farm, since there were no protective rings on its legs.
