Vladimir Governor Avdeev coordinates with the federal center a candidate for the post of head of the Ministry of health

Candidacy for the post of Minister of Health of the Vladimir Region is being approved by the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation. The relevant documents were sent to Moscow by Governor Alexander Avdeev.

The press service of the regional government stressed that the name of the applicant will be officially announced only after the successful completion of all necessary verification procedures.

The chair of the regional Ministry of Health remains vacant from November 2024. The current head of the department Valery Yanin was removed from office after the governor did not renew his contract during the trial.

In mid-December 2024, Yanin was detained on charges of abuse of power (Article 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and is currently serving a five-year prison term. In addition, the court is considering another criminal case against a former official under a similar article.
