Kemerovo authorities provided information on the progress of the reconstruction of tram tracks along Lenin Avenue

One of the residents of the city appealed to the head of Kemerovo Dmitry Anisimov in his social networks with a question about the expected timing of the completion of the repair of tram tracks on Lenin Avenue.

“No new tracks have been laid since the beginning of the summer. Frosts are expected soon, and any road accident could lead to a traffic collapse in this narrow spot of Lenin Avenue.

The administration of Kemerovo reported that on the section of Lenin Avenue, located between the railway station and Dzerzhinsky Street, work on the transfer of underground utilities has been completed.

“Adjustments to the project of the drainage system have been made in the course of the soil study. This is done in order to prevent the washing of tracks with groundwater in the future, to exclude deformation of the base and to ensure the safety and smoothness of the movement of trams, the mayor’s office of Kemerova explained.

Specialized equipment for the drainage system is currently being purchased. After its delivery to the facility, the contractor will start installing the system, and then assembly and installation of the rail-sleeve grille.
