NAO authorities told about the situation with bears in the region
NAO Governor Irina Gekht spoke about the situation with reports of bears in the district

NAO Governor Irina Gekht spoke about the situation with reports of bears in the district. She noted that in recent weeks from different regions of the country there are many reports of predators that go out to housing, roads and places of recreation. In Siberia and the Far East, a high-alert regime has been introduced in some cities and districts. Against this background, reports of predators near Naryan-Mar and the village of Seekers cause understandable alarm among residents.
According to the head of the region, in Seekers, the police checked the territory near the ski roller track - no traces of the bear were found.
Near the lake Komsomolskoye hunting experts of the Department of Natural Resources and the Center for Nature Management surveyed the area, interviewed an eyewitness who reported a bear with a bear. No signs of animals being found there either.
Specialists went beyond the Kuisky Bridge after a report in an unofficial source. The examination found no trace. At the same time, the area behind the bridge is the natural habitat of bears. According to available hunting data, the spotted beast does not show aggression and leaves when people approach. The reason for his shooting experts now do not see.
All three messages are on-site. But the absence of traces during the exit does not mean that a meeting with a predator is excluded. Caution is still necessary.
Currently, the Russian government has prepared a number of measures, including changes to the regulatory framework, which will allow the regions to quickly make decisions on regulating the number of bears. In particular, the possibility of excluding the brown bear from the list of species whose production is limited will be considered.
The governor also said that animals are attracted to humans. The Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia pays attention to affordable food: open dumpsters, landfills, food residues near housing and recreational places. She asked not to leave food waste after going to nature and in any case not to feed the bears. Getting used to receiving food from humans, the predator loses caution.
If you see a beast, do not approach it for the sake of a photo and do not try to drive it away yourself. Report the meeting on 112, specifying the location as accurately as possible.
