Zhukovsky authorities explained why trees are cut down in the city park

Residents of Zhukovsky sounded the alarm because of the massive felling of trees in the city park. The press service of the city district administration explained on what basis these works are carried out.

As specified in the administration, the land plot with cadastral number 50:52:0000000:17763 belongs to the category “Lands of settlements” with the type of permitted use “under the urban forest”. It is in municipal ownership and transferred to the permanent (perpetual) use of UIA Zhukovsky "Park of Culture and Recreation".

According to representatives of the administration, this site is not included in the lands of the forest fund. The management of the green fund and the issuance of permits is the direct and exclusive competence of local authorities of the city district of Zhukovsky.

The press service added that the cutting of trees is carried out as part of the improvement of the park.
