More than 1,140 video cameras have been installed in the Belarusian capital as part of the project to create a unified video surveillance system in the residential sector. This was reported by sb.by to the Minsk Urban Housing.

The association noted:
- The main goal of the project is to improve the effectiveness of quality control and timeliness of housing and communal services. Video cameras will help monitor the removal of municipal waste, the condition of children's playgrounds and the quality of cleaning the surrounding areas.
According to Marina Tolstik, Director General of the Minsk Urban Housing Association, this is another step to ensure that utilities work more efficiently, and the yards remain clean, well-maintained and safe.
The MYHH noted that the project started in August 2026. At present, Beltelecom specialists examine houses, determine equipment placements and install video cameras, the data from which are planned to be used to confirm the quality of the performed work on the sanitary maintenance of the adjacent territories that serve the housing and communal services of Minsk districts.
In just two years, 20,000 video surveillance devices are expected to be installed on apartment buildings in Minsk, the association added. Since the beginning of the year, the fleet of utilities of the Minsk region has been replenished with more than 80 units of auto and special equipment
