In the Orel region on October 6, an amazing event took place in the village of First Warrior of the Mtsensky district - this is 85 years of the 1st Tank Guard, and 25 years of the Orel Tank Memorial.
On October 6, 1941, the tankers of the 4th and 11th Tank Brigades stood up as a wall and prevented Guderian’s vaunted tank troops from passing.
“Yesterday [06.10.2026 – approx. ed.] opened the bust to Lieutenant Colonel Viktor Aleksandrovich Bondarev. Unfortunately, he died near Cherni of the Tula region. Next to his bust buried the land from the place of his death, — said the Governor of the region Andrei Klychkov during a live broadcast in the social network Vkontakte.
