In Vladikavkaz discussed the role of the Russian language in the development of national literature

In Vladikavkaz, the youth forum “Language” started. Traditions. The future”. It was opened by the director of the Gorky Institute of World Literature, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences Vadim Polonsky. He came to North Ossetia at the invitation of the head of the republic.

The forum is held in the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia. He continues the dialogue, which began in May at the scientific and practical conference “190 years of the Ossetian civil Cyrillic alphabet”. Participants discuss the role of the Russian language in the development of national literatures and the preservation of the cultural heritage of the peoples of Russia.

The head of RSO-Alania Sergey Menyailo noted that the republic continues the conversation about the history of the language, writing and literary heritage, started at a scientific conference on the 190th anniversary of the Ossetian civil Cyrillic alphabet. He recalled that an outstanding Russian scientist, academician Andrei Shögren developed the Ossetian alphabet on the basis of Russian civil graphics.
