In Vladikavkaz opened a case on the theft of more than 1 million rubles when receiving child benefits

Employees of the economic security and anti-corruption unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Vladikavkaz revealed the fact of fraud when receiving social payments in an especially large amount. This was reported in the press service of the department.

It was established that a local resident born in 1988 in the period from February to September 2026 through the online service submitted to the relevant department of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) an application for the appointment of benefits for four children. At the same time, she provided deliberately false information about her place of residence, in fact never being in the region.

Based on the submitted false data, the woman was accrued and paid funds totaling more than 1 million rubles.

A criminal case was opened on the grounds of a crime under the article “fraud in receiving payments committed on an especially large scale”. The defendant may face a sentence of imprisonment for up to ten years.
