In the Vladimir branch of RANEPA for the seventh time organized a headquarters that allows you to monitor what is happening at polling stations. The center works around the clock during all three voting days - from 18 to 20 September.
Cameras are installed in such a way as to monitor the main stages of the electoral process: the issuance of ballots, ballot boxes, counting of votes, registration of protocols and safe packages. Thus, the system allows you to control almost the entire path of the ballot from the moment of its issuance to the completion of the count.
For visitors in the headquarters installed a video wall with eight monitors. Ten more laptops allow you to choose and view a specific site. Volunteers help with the surveillance system.
Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Vladimir Region and Director of the RANEPA Branch Vyacheslav Kartukhin noted that representatives of various political parties can use the possibility of observation. According to him, the task of the headquarters is to jointly with the Election Commission and the Public Chamber to ensure the most open control over the organization of voting.
There are more than 100 cameras in Vladimir. At the same time, through the system you can get information not only for the regional center, but also for other cities in the region. A total of 477 polling stations are available for observation.
Where there is no live video broadcast, round-the-clock recording is organized. Saved materials can be viewed later if necessary.
About 2,500 public observers work at 936 polling stations in the region. On average, there are about three observers per site. The Public Chamber of the Vladimir region also noted the growing interest in monitoring by young people.
